Apply Now to the Jane’s Fellowship Program and Join Pierce County Leaders in Making a Difference

“I have become a more confident and grounded leader, and it’s deepened my work in the community.” – Jane’s Fellowship Graduate

Jane’s Fellowship Program (JFP) honors the legacy of one of our founders, Jane Russell, who focused her philanthropy efforts and volunteerism within Pierce County. Remembering Jane’s personal commitment to individuals and local communities, the Fellowship Program focuses on Pierce County residents who feel called to lead, serve and collaborate around a community vision. Since its founding in 2004, JFP has engaged 100 local individuals in their leadership journeys. We recognize that the best solutions to address community challenges comes from people in the community that are stepping up to lead, especially at the grassroots level. We invest in them and are excited to launch recruitment for the next group of Fellows.

JFP is now accepting applications for its Class 10 cohort which will bring together a diverse group of up to 15 leaders who are actively serving Pierce Country. Applicants must be 24 years old, live in Pierce County and be working (as a volunteer or in a paid role) to address community challenges and improve the quality of life for their community.

.Through Jane’s Fellowship Program, Fellows will:

  • Deepen leadership skills and perspectives with a variety of tools and resources.
  • Broaden networks by accessing Pierce County trainers, community leaders, and graduates of the Fellowship.
  • Encourage equitable collaborations through informed action, integrative practice and deeper awareness and skillfulness around diversity, equity, inclusion and access.

This twelve-month program begins in January 2023 and runs through December 2023. Fellows meet twice monthly to share in skills training, experiential learning, and community building. Fellows will also receive training and opportunities to practice a wide range of skills and knowledge including storytelling, mindfulness, navigating conflict and ways to address social and racial inequities.

Applications for the Fellowship are due October 5 2022. For application materials, please visit Jane’s Fellowship page, call 253.857.1664 or email jfp.app@trff.org. Please feel free to call or email if you need technical support or have any questions.
