The Russell Family Foundation Catalyzes Climate Finance with Carbon Direct

This year, The Russell Family Foundation partnered with Carbon Direct to further the Foundation’s commitment to achieving Net Zero by 2030. With nearly 95% of the Foundation’s portfolio transitioned to be values-aligned, the Foundation consulted with our investment advisor, AlTi Tiedemann Global (AlTi), and took the next step in our journey by shifting our focus to reducing, removing and monitoring our carbon emissions. TRFF and Carbon Direct’s shared goal was to establish a baseline of TRFF’s emissions and to use the information to develop and implement a strategy to reduce emissions moving forward. It has always been our hope that being transparent about the process to achieve Net Zero, will inspire foundations to make similar commitments.
